2013 Marston Family Vineyard Albion (Proprietary Blanc)
LIMITED SUMMER LIBRARY RELEASE
We were honored to be named "One of Napa's Hidden Gem Whites" by Robb Report. "Inspired by the wines of Bordeaux, the Marstons envisioned Albion as a Napa Valley version of a classic Bordeaux Blanc. The 2013 Albion's pleasing acidity accompanied by a clean, lengthy, and seamless finish." (Less than four cases remain)
Our fifth vintage of Albion continues in the traditional Bordeaux Blanc style with rich, concentrated fruit balanced by an elegant backbone of acidity and personality. Named for our forefather, Albion Marston, this special release combines classic Old World structure with New World fruit, embracing our heritage from the chalk cliffs of Dover to the Pacific Coast of Northern California, declared “New Albion” by Sir Francis Drake.

Robb Report's "Hidden Gem White of California":
The Marstons settled on 400 hillside acres above the town of St. Helena, Calif., in 1969. The family’s lineup of winemakers over the ensuing decades reads as a Who’s Who of the Napa Valley—from Philip Togni to Philippe Melka and Marbue Marke.
Inspired by the wines of Bordeaux, the Marstons envisioned Albion as a Napa Valley version of a classic Bordeaux Blanc. The 2013 Albion glows pale yellow in the glass and exudes aromas of lime and orange blossom; as it opens, the wine reveals an attractive floral component. Albion’s pleasing acidity—accompanied by a clean, lengthy, and seamless finish—tempers even the heaviest holiday meal.
